Worship team training and resources

There are a lot of common forms of pragmatism in the church today when it comes to gathered worship. By pragmatism I mean that we simply settle for whatever seems to work at a given point in time. But is that what the bible says we should do?

Worship leaders and teams are full of volunteers with full-time jobs and limited time to invest in their own training. That's why people like Citizens is partnering with us to equip music teams in churches of all sizes.

Some streams of thought say that the emotionally mature person is someone whose emotions are subdued or are in check. But is that the picture that the Bible gives us? That Jesus gives us? Or do we need to think a bit deeper about emotions?

What if the stage does more harm than good? What if we could just get on the same level and see eye to eye? After all, we are the priesthood of all believers.

I think we have a problem. We have a problem in our worship when it comes to emotions. And I don't know what you think I'm about to say, but hear me out for a little bit.
